The Sacon Global Sports Park has been created to address a significant structural gap that exists between increasing participation in sport and the current limitations in terms of availability of integrated, large-scale sports infrastructure.

Sports facility provision varies widely throughout the world, with many countries having their sports facilities spread out through a combination of standalone sports academies, single-sport venues, or small, private, community-based sports complexes. While individual sports facilities may be able to meet the needs of local communities, such facilities rarely have the capacity or potential for long-term multi-sport utilization or for hosting large-scale sporting events.

In order to address this issue, the Sacon Global Sports Park was structured as a phased infrastructure platform designed to integrate sports, events and supporting infrastructure platforms within a unified environment.
